Last March 8, IPED students went to the Council of Foreign Relations (CFR) in the Upper East Side of Manhattan to learn more about international relations. They met with Ms. Jamille Bigio, Senior Fellow in the Women and Foreign Policy program of CFR. Ms. Bigio talked about the role of women in peace and security as well as in politics and economic development. She also highlighted the progress made in women representation in countries like Ethiopia but also emphasized on the challenges that remain.
The students also met with Ms. Mia McCully who is the associate director of human resources at CFR. Ms. McCully shared the different internship and career opportunities available for students at CFR.
