The event was held at the 12th Floor Lounge of Fordham’s Lowenstein Hall in midtown Manhattan overlooking Lincoln Center. Our speakers were: Mr. Gregg Streibig (IPED Class of ’98), Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions, AgriCapital Corporation; Ms. Cathy Doheny (IPED Class of ’97), International Trade Specialist, United States Commercial Service; and Mr. John Alikpala (IPED Class of ’99), Coordinator of Overseas Development Assistance, President’s Office, Republic of the Philippines and formerly with Catholic Relief Services.
Professor Jonathan Crystal awarded the Language Immersion Study Awards to Mr. Soneath Hor ($4,600 to study French in France) and to Mr. Craig Dreves ($3,600 to study Spanish in Costa Rica). The Reverend Gerald Blaszczak, SJ, University Chaplain, awarded the Arrupe Overseas Field Placement Stipends of $2,400 to Ms. Christina Kowal to observe and evaluate micro-credit projects in Mali and Burkina Faso and $1,600 to Ms. Michelle Born to observe and evaluate micro-credit projects in El Salvador.
