Khutso Segooa was invited to the 2022 United Nations (UN) Day Humanitarian Awards Gala Dinner, as a UN Association New York City (UNA-NYC) Summer Scholars Fellow, to talk about her experience as a Junior Economist Intern at the UN Development Programme (UNDP) in the Maldives, over the summer.
She attended the gala event alongside the 2022 Honorees are Grant F. Reid (CEO of Mars), for corporate leadership in driving sustainable business practices; Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iwaela (Director-General of the World Trade Organization) for a lifetime of public service and advocacy of sustainable international ; and Ellie Goulding (singer and songwriter), for raising awareness and inspiring action on numerous global environmental issues.
