Cassidy Fawcett (IPED 2026) recently became the Community Program Coordinator for the Fordham Road Business Improvement District (BID). As the Community Program Coordinator, she organizes various community-focused events. Recent initiatives include hosting active shooter training, de-escalation training, first aid certification, and a Christmas festival. She also actively pursues grant opportunities, including a recent $350,000 application to Fordham University’s Fordham in Community charity grant focused on Environmental Justice initiatives. Finally, she manages their social media accounts, represents the BID at public hearings, and supports various community engagement efforts.
She recently coordinated a project that collaborated with local sneaker stores on Fordham Road to have them featured in a New York One news segment. It was an experience that allowed her to meet the program host and watch the stores showcase their products during live filming!
