Getting to know the Bx: Fordham IPED’s Bronx Walk

X's up for the BronX!

Fordham IPEDers restarted a tradition on Friday morning by going on a walk around the borough that many of them will call home for the next year and a half. In a walking tour led by Community advocate and organizer Gregory Jost, students were shown neighborhood landmarks and learned about the history, diversity and the efforts to build communities in the Bronx. They ended their tour by meeting with members of the University Neighborhood Housing Project and Fordham Bedford Housing Corp., where they learned more about community housing projects and the issues Bronxites face in the wake of COVID-19 and New York City’s housing crisis.
