2023 World Day of the Poor: UN Side Event

Join us on November 17, Friday, at the Church Center for the United Nations in New York City, as we commemorate the 2023 World Day of the Poor. This conference is sponsored by Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Caritas Internationalis, and Fordham University’s MA Program in International Political Economy and Development (Fordham IPED).

Deputy Permanent Observer of the Holy See Mission to the UN, Monsignor Robert Murphy, will open the event. Ms. Julie Ideh, Global Technical Director of Agriculture and Livelihoods at Catholic Relief Services will give the keynote address on the “Global Food Crisis”.  In addition, the Fordham IPED Program will be releasing the 2023 Report of Fordham’s Pope Francis Global Poverty Index.
