Having studied French in university and during my time as a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal, I had a good foundation in the language.
The LISA fellowship allowed me to take French classes at a more advanced level, and really solidify my familiarity and comfort level with professional French.
I spent four weeks in Lyon and two weeks in Montpellier taking intensive French courses.
