Dr. William Easterly is a renowned economist, author, and researcher in the field of economic development. His ideologies caution against the wasteful side of international aid, and instead promote investing in the rights of the poor. Currently, he is Professor of Economics at New York University and Co-director of the NYU Development Research Institute, which won the 2009 BBVA Frontiers of Knowledge in Development Cooperation Award.
