EMERGING FINANCIAL MARKETS was the focus of our summer study tour to South Africa, which included a weekend in Cape Town and a Safari.

Much of our time was spent in Pretoria and we owe a special thanks of gratitude to the Economics Department at the University of Pretoria for hosting us.

In addition to our classroom work, we also had a number of valuable briefings at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, the Reserve Bank of South Africa as well as with leaders from the business community, labor and government.
