The event was held at the 12th Floor Lounge of Fordham’s Lowenstein Hall in midtown Manhattan overlooking Lincoln Center. Our speakers were: Ms. Cassandra Ryan (IPED Class of ’93), Assistant Director of Major Gifts, Amnesty International USA; Mr. Roudy Romulus (IPED Class of ’03), US Presidential Management Fellow and Economist, US Department of Defense; Mr. Matthew Jacob (IPED Class of ’00), Director of Market Research, A. Gary Shilling and Company; and Mr. O. Anthony Maddalena (IPED Class of ’86), Senior Vice President, Morgan Stanley.
AWARDS
Professor Jonathan Crystal awarded the Language Immersion Study Awards to Ms. Elitza Mileva ($3,800 to study Portugues in Brazil), Ms. Jane Hingston ($3,800 to study Spanish in Peru), and Mr. Paul Wilkins ($3,800 to study Spanish in Bolivia). Professor Eugene Diulio awarded the Arrupe Overseas Field Placement Stipends of $3,000 each to Ms. Sarah Weber to evaluate micro-credit projects in Mali and to Mr. Dean Johnson to study Spanish and observe community development projects in Honduras. We thank the Alumni Association for their generous support of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
